The 3rd Annual Provincetown Brewing Co. label contest benefiting The Carrie A. Seaman Animal Shelter (CASAS) drew hundreds of participants that included cats, chickens, horses, and dogs vying for the coveted prize of being featured on the label of a special edition brew from the Provincetown Brewing Co.
This year’s top prize was awarded posthumously to “Drago” a German Shepherd who was one of the most decorated and respected K9’s serving the state of Connecticut. Sadly, Drago passed away this past July from a full mesenteric torsion. Drago’s dad and handler Kyle Kaelberer grew up in the Provincetown area and would bring Drago into town during the off season where he loved to explore the docks of MacMillan Pier and the beach in front of the old Surf Club.
CASAS director Sherry Brec announced the winner of the contest at the Pet Appreciation Week kickoff party at the Provincetown Brewing Company.
